How Can You Spot the Poor-Quality Phones?

1. Don’t rely on evaluating software – such as Antutu benchmarking because the app scores can be adjusted. For example, dual-core phones can show as being quad-core with those kinds of app. If we sell a phone as dual-core or quad-core, we will use several different types of evaluation software to ensure that we are providing our customers with 100% accurate information.

Rogue sellers and rip-off merchants cannot manipulate every single benchmarking app, thankfully.

2. It can be difficult to accurately gauge the total ROM and RAM available as this will fluctuate depending upon which programs are run and stored. However, as a rough guide, a phone that falsely claims to be quad-core will show around 200MB of remaining memory available whereas a true quad-core phone will show a value greater than 800MB

MTK6572 – this chipset is being phased-out, mainly due to its instability issues. It runs slow, but its advantage is that it is cheap. If you meet problems such as a sudden crashes, this is due to there being insufficient memory to operate the system. Just reboot the phone and it will operate normally again. It isn’t a quality concern.

MTK6582 – this is a quad-core, mainstream processor. It provides for a very stable operating system that crashes rarely and this is why there are such high-volume sales of products that use this chipset.

upgraded 4 core this is a high-end processor which offers a super-stable, high-speed operating system that is capable of running the most graphically demanding games and the largest of apps very easily.
